Wine country patrol uses a very well-known easily identifiable chevron ranking system to make it clear who is who within WCP.
A ranking system is something that has been around in north america since the mid 1600's used by the Rattle Watchman of 'New Amsterdam', which today is known as New York. The Rattle Watchman were civilians who lived in the village / settlement that would patrol the streets at night. A Rattle Watchman division or group typically consisted of 8 men and a Captain.
Wine Country Patrol equips green and amber emergency lights in every Patrol Vehicle. The green identifies us as Security and amber for 'Caution'.
The Rattle Watchmen in the mid 1600's carried a lantern with green glass sides to allow the community to recognize them as they patrolled the streets at night. Wine Country Patrol continues this method and tradition with the modern emergency lights available to us.
Wine Country Patrol uses 3M reflective decals. All numbers and letters are metallic light silver with the patch trim and seal in metallic antique gold. All decals are sized and placed to make them readable and easily recognizable from 50 feet away.
